Description

A diterpene alkaloid isolated from Aconiti Carmichaeli Praeparata is used to induce cardiac arrhythmias. It binds to neurotoxin binding site 2 of the a-subunit of the Na+ channel protein. Aconitine has been used to treat neuralgia.
